Recently, I had the privledge of working with a fantastic company, SP Marketplace. Darrell Trimble and his partners have come up with an excellent set of templates for SharePoint. Every business that is considering SharePoint or has Office365 has an amazing platform for Enhanced Communication and Collaboration.
What Darrell and his team have done, is provide a solution that is 85% complete. If you are Peer-To-Peer (think MS Teams), here is your HUB solution; If you work with others and stay within the organization there is a template for you. I have even seen a very nice solution for Boards/Portals/Applications. (See SP Marketplace).
If you are On-Premise or Online SharePoint allows notifications, enhanced search of Lists or Document Libraries. Add Metadata, PowerApp or Flows and notifications come to you. Perhaps you would like a dashboard, Everything contained in SharePoint is built upon SQL. Products like PowerBi can be integrated to provide the information needed by Leads, Supervisors, Project Managers thru C-Level.
There are many companies like Nintex, Infowise, developers & .NET programmers who can customize the connections and enhance the features of SharePoint, what I really liked about what SP Marketplace offered, was the "No Code" solution for Business Power Users. The fine folks at SP Marketplace developed Applications and Sites, complete with tools. These enhancements allow enhanced search, organization, communication and collaboration built in.
Governance along with a consultant or IT department can really resolve many of today's issues lingering in business world. There are many articles and organizations, including government at all levels, using and benefiting from Microsoft SharePoint along with many other technologies. Isn't it time you organization benefited from improved communication? Microsoft SharePoint can help Departments, Groups or Teams throughout the organization.
